How gold is formed?
Gold is formed through the following natural geological processes:
– It is created from the collision of neutron stars which causes heavy element formation including gold.
– Gold sinks towards the Earth’s core during the planet’s formation and gets trapped in the mantle.
– Magma brings the gold up towards the Earth’s surface through volcanic eruptions.
– Gold deposits are found where rivers once ran, since water erodes rock and allows gold to condense out of eroding material.
– Hydrothermal processes involving heated fluids dissolving gold and redepositing it in cracks or spaces also concentrate gold into mineable ore deposits.
