How was gold formed in space?

Gold is formed in space through a process called supernova nucleosynthesis. When a massive star explodes, it releases a tremendous amount of energy and creates elements like gold through nuclear reactions. These elements are then dispersed into space and can eventually become part of other celestial bodies, including our Earth.
